April 7, 2016 – County Council finds interim solution
Worcestershire County Council\’s Transport team has identified an interim solution, following bus route cuts by First Bus.
From Monday, April 11, Worcestershire County Council will operate services from Upton-upon-Severn to Malvern (route number 360) and from Catshill to Halesowen (route number 147)
Cllr John Smith, Cabinet Member for Highways, said: \”We\’re delighted to have found an interim solution, in conjunction with local Members, to ensure that rural passengers have access to some public transport. We have to stress however, that the County Council cannot take responsibility for these bus services on a permanent basis.\”
