Our Parish Plan
The absence of a Parish Plan is one of the most critical gaps that we currently face. This document describes the future we want for our Parish and covers many aspects such as Public Services, Utilities, Housing, Planning, Environment, Transport etc.
A robust and community endorsed Parish Plan is a powerful document as it clearly represents the opinions of the community. It is widely used by funding bodies and planning authorities to determine the appropriateness of proposals.
Your Parish Council are starting the process of formulating a Parish Plan.
We believe that the best way forward is to enlist the interest and participation of all residents in questioning and supporting, or opposing as necessary, all proposals which bear on the future of Romsley, its open spaces, its amenities and infrastructure.
We shall be holding an initial public consultation on the 27th February 2016 at the Romsley Scout Headquarters – to which all residents are invited to drop in and put forward their thoughts and views.
We will be holding further consultations and encourage the involvement of as many villagers as possible.
These consultations will be publicised on this website, on the Parish notice boards and through the newsletters.
Below is a link to a document that will give some more details about what a Parish Plan is and what is involved.
