Marl Hole Create new environments for insects, Invertebrates, Birds and bats to thrive

Invertebrate banks

We will install a bee bank to provide a warm, sheltered patch of ground where solitary bees can nest. This will promote the trapping of heat and a variety of micro-climates for nesting bees.

Hibernacula

We will create a pile of logs, earth and stone. This will provide structural variation within the site and enhance prey availability for fauna such as reptiles, mammals and invertebrates.

Bird and bat boxes

We will look to install bird boxes, owl and bat boxes to provide areas to nest and roost.
